Short-term energy and CO₂ savings achieved by:

• Purchasing energy-efficient wheel loaders, which means lower fuel consumption and fewer CO₂ emissions
• Replacing frost facilities with electricity (e-tracing) instead of steam
• Installing frequency converters for precise control of heavy-duty pumps and fans
• Covering various material flows, which reduces the influence of water on the energy management of our furnace process.

The savings achieved with this are equal to the electricity consumption of 2,350 households or the natural gas consumption of 1,225 households.
